The Police Service in Trinidad.
My husband and I were the victims of an attempted robbery. Although I wonder about the victim part. Are you still a victim if you fouled the robbery? I don’t know either.
So anyway here’s what happened. We were walking along the proverbial road (somewhere in vistabella) and we decided to cross because someone just might have cleaned us off the road, which was so not on my to do list. And these guys in clothes at least 6 sizes too big were coming towards us, one in all white with his baseball cap pulled down over his eyes walked into me, even though I was practically in the road trying to avoidhim. So i did the non confrontational thing and said sorry and moved along, only to realize that my husband wasn’t with me. Lo and behold these four paragons of society were trying to rob him because the ‘misus’ walked into their Indian friend. So walking into then = laptop for non existent injuries. Hubby was already furious because we had to walk to marabella so you can imagine he was definitely not up for being nice to the bastards so after him refusing to give the money and stuff up one of them hit him. Which was ok because the guy couldn’t hit hard, I know because he hit me to. Needless to say my coloumnar pad was destroyed because I beat him with it (so long spreadsheet mark).
Luckily they weren’t armed, so after knocking them around a bit. They gave up and we left. Called the E 99 Rapid Response to ask for help because we sure as hell couldn’t do it while we were fighting. The woman who answered said that they couldn’t do anything about it so go file a police report at our convenience.
Next day we filed it. And this ASS of a I don’t know what rank chews us out about why we didn’t do it sooner. Anyway this is getting really long so I’ll post more later.
